Foods ok. Service is terrible. I will never go back. I wish I could give them zero stars

5 stars for intimate family-owned feel, quick and friendly service, and pretty good sushi. It's our favorite sushi place in the area. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I know I've had sushi that really wowed me in the past. This isn't as good as that, but then again, I'm comparing it against the best I've ever had.

Wonderful sushi! The staff is so pleasant and treats everyone like kings and queens. A must-try.

Under new management! I will be honest! It not the Best Sushi restaurant, but decent restaurant in the town. For quick relaxing family dinner, we enjoyed.This restaurant will be my third on the list for Sushi nights!Their Sashimi are cut really thick!

Great food, but bad service. The menu says miso soup is included in the lunch menu, but the owner refuses to include it if it's to go.

I like this spot! They provide high class food, their menu is varied, The chef in that place is very experienced, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the attitude towards the visitors is helpful. I often go to this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I recommend this place.

The description is completely wrong. This is a Korean restaurant that offer authentic Korean family food. Not Japanese food. The food is awesome, service is good and the price is surprisingly good.

eat here every 2-3 months for the last year and half. Today for lunch will be my last. The fish/sushi the last 3 times has been very thin and NOT at all fresh. I thought maybe it was a bad day but its been bad the last few times. in the rolls, they can hide the taste but in the sashimi, they can not. Just bad fish.

Customer service is 0. We don’t like chicken teriyaki, taste was horrible and we told them. They don't even care. Never come back again.

Some of the best Japanese food I've ever had, especially their ramen. I've never had tonkotsu so well made. Love this place!!

This used to be our favorite restaurant for many years. Sadly they seem to have changed owners or managers sometime before our last visit in early 2019. The food was mediocre and the service was lacking. We won’t be back.

I go to this excellent place from time to time as I enjoy the special air that is characterizes this restaurant. The team is awfuly loyal and qualified. The service is absolutely quick. Also, the food they prepare is excellent. I visited many times and I was always delighted. The price is decent. I recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

Seriously one of the most authentic Japanese ramen places in the entire area. The food is always top notch. We eat here all the time, and it honestly have never been disappointed.

Really good sushi, the best we've found in the area. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. We ordered takoyaki, something we have a hard time finding, and several rolls. All were excellent with good seasoning. The seafood was all fresh, and obviously picked with care. We were beyond pleased with our experience and will be back soon!

Great place for affordable price sushi in the Sterling area. If you need a place to stay for business travel, great location to Dulles area. Had to dine at Aoba Sushi for sure, great dinner again. Tonight I enjoyed a Rainbow Roll, Aoba Roll, and special New Hampshire Roll, which was by far my favourite of the night. This place was very busy tonight. I think after I had posted the first foodie photos 5 months ago and Google Searches picked up on the place busy has increased. More than 65000 views of my favorite rolls.

went for lunch on Saturday. Lunch platter and ramen were average at best. nothing to write home about. there were some confusion on the order and it took some time to get the order right.

Only giving it a 2 star because the food was pretty decent. Apart from that the service wasn't good and the server was very rude and unwelcoming.

It's just ok, albeit a little over priced. And for some reason our table only got 1 menu. The waitress acted annoyed when we requested another.

We like a lot eating out. Last night we arrived in this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We spent a beautiful time there with high-qulity cooking and a nice team and a talented chief cook. We put this place in our phone list and we will no doubt return soon. We deeply recommend.

Surprisingly excellent food of every kind. The sushi, noodles, Benton box and dessert. Highly recommend.

First experience was with Beef Yakisoba. And I have to say... AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!! I love it. Definitely will try many more dishes from here 😍

Over cooked noodles and blan tasting ramen. I mean how do you screw up ramen? Super sweet funnel cake tasting tempura. Nervous to try the fish.

This restaurant is fantastic. The sushi is great quality, at the price I would expect (or maybe even a little less), and the service is excellent. We received not one but two complimentary appetizers, friendly conversation from the sushi chefs, and helpful advice on the menu. I've eaten at probably close to a hundred sushi places, and this little hole in the wall ranks right up near the top.

My husband and I go to Aoba quite often and I am always so pleased. Their fish is fresh and their service, phenomenal! We usually split a boat and leave with full, happy bellies.

Warm and friendly services, pleasant atmosphere, sushi is fresh, and chirashi is AWESOME! Best sushi restaurant I've eaten in a while. Worth the money, worth the tip. Highly recommended.
